A self-care recipe

I’m a big believer in taking care of your mind, body, and soul every single day.

Self-care should be part your daily routine to maintain a positive well-being and to help reduce any daily stress.

It is important to focus and encourage self-care as an ongoing commitment to yourself.  Just a reminder it’s not selfish not even a little bit.

Once you give your mind, body, and soul the attention they deserve, you’ll feel refreshed, rejuvenated, and more content with your life.

Here are some ingredients for you to add to your self-care recipe that will help you feel uplifted and positive.

Stretch: Every morning take five minutes to stretch your body.

Get more sleep: Aim for 8 hours each night to allow your body to rest.

Stay hydrated: Aim to drink 1.5-2L of water per day! If you don’t enjoy drinking water, add mint or lime to your bottle as an alternative for a healthy flavour.

Feed your body more greens: Try adding greens to every meal even if that is a small handful of spinach in your morning smoothie.

Nourish your skin: Treat yourself to an at home Sea Sun Australia beauty tool facial to promote lymphatic drainage and help you feel more relaxed.

Stay active: Do a work out every day! That could be a walk, a dance class, a bike ride or a yoga class.

Get some fresh air: Don’t eat your lunch at your work desk; it’s time to go outside for your lunch break and enjoy the fresh air!

Have a good laugh: Call a friend that you always have a great time with or read a joke book and have a good belly laugh.

Detox from technology: Allocate set times when you will use technology and outside of those times switch off all devices.

Positive affirmations: Give yourself some words of encouragement and read them out loud each morning, it’s a great way to start your day.  Here are some ideas:

  • I create my reality and my future is bright
  • I embrace challenges as opportunities
  • Happiness radiates through my body

Give yourself permission to relax: Take a bath, light a candle and enjoy. It’s ok to take time out for yourself and to protect your well-being.

Self-care is a priority, a necessity not a luxury.

Take care of yourself!
